Acne- Causes and Treatments

Acne is a skin disorder that affects both teenagers and adults. Usually, acne occurs when the small pores on the surface of the skin become blocked with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria. Each individual pore on the skin opens up to a follicle beneath the epidermis. Within these follicles lie a singular hair and a sebaceous gland. The sebaceous gland produces sebum, an oil designed to keep your skin lubricated and soft.

Acne can occur on the face, back, neck, chest, arms, and any other skin area with a saturation of sebaceous pores.

Some underlying factors can cause acne breakout. Common acne, known medically as Acne Vulgaris, is generally caused by hormonal changes in the body, and its onset usually can be found in teenages as they approach puberty.

Hormones are major trigggers for acne. An hormonal changes and other factors can cause the gland to produce an excess of sebum, the oil will be pumped through the follicle, and may pick up dead skin cells and bacteria on its way out and when these substances clump together, this plug starts to press up against the surface of the skin.

Home Remedies to Use To Treat Acne

That unwanted spots can be treated. Some lotions may just be the reasons for the acnes. However, discontinue use of such products and consuming adequate water can be the solution.

Let’s now loook at some of the Acne home remedy:

Lemons. Lemons act as an exfoliant, skin lightener, and disinfectant to reduce the appearance of scars and prevent new pimples from forming. On a clean face, dab acne with a cotton ball or cotton swab dipped in lemon juice, then rinse with cool water.

Other measures to try.
  • Keep your face clean. , it’s important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin’s surface. No matter how titred you may be, always wash off make up before going to bed.
  • Moisturize- Use mild soap on the face and try a face scrub once in a while.
  • Use makeup sparingly.
  • Take lots of fluids(water) and fruits
  • Try to know what causes the acne, if it is your dairy products, cut down or go for another
